Work brought me to the Lone Star State quite a few times and took me all over.

Austin: I started at Texas State University and made my way to the great city of Austin. Loved it, would go back yesterday, today and tomorrow.

MARFA: If you've met me, follow me on twitter or looked through my Facebook profile pictures you would learn that I am commonly mistaken as a character on Gossip Girl, or here is hoping. A friend introduced me to the drama in 2007 and after a summer of non-stop watching Season 1 I've been a loyal fan. The Van Der Woodsen suite has the Prada Marfa art sign hung in the foyer. While reading Delta Sky Magazine the art site was featured by a photographer which intrigued me even more. Then Beyonce tweeted a photo from her Texas roadtrip.  So if it's a site worthy enough of Serena and Beyonce it was a sight I wanted to see too.

While near El Paso I decided to venture to the Prada Marfa installation. This grew to be a bucket-list item so I am so excited that I can now say...check. I trekked to Marfa in the AM and parked my rental car right in front, pulled out my packed lunch and just sat there in awe of the masterpiece.

I've stretched my own photo that I captured from the visit on canvas and soon Prada Marfa will grace my walls too.

Dallas: I set up camp for a week in Dallas. Visiting SMU, UT Arlington & UT Dallas. Lucky me, a Kappa LC was on a chapter visit at UNT so I stole her away for a day or too.

Dallas, your beautiful.

College Station: I spent Election Day in College Station. After a long day on campus I took a stroll to the stadium and of course to see Greek Row at Texas A&M.

Lubbock: Just when I thought I've seen all of Texas . . . I went to Lubbock. I wasn't the only person in town though, Ryan Gosling and Channing Tatum were spotted in Lubbock too. I arrived at my hotel one night after dinner and the crowd of screaming ladies camped outside gave it away.

Lubbock, thanks for a great weekend. Can't wait to see you again.

Ended the Texas 2012 tour at: Corpus Christi.
This view was not too shabby for a day at work.

But Seriously....
